1. Make sure you have ALL your class Materials:
o 1.5” binder with at least:
o 10 section dividers that you can label
o Ruled notebook paper in the back of your notebook
o 2 sharpened pencils with good erasers
o Red Pen
o Black Pen
o Highlighter
o Order and bring a copy of the book Our Century in Pictures for Young People by Stoley (LIFE book) TO CLASS WEEKLY.
2. This assignment is for NEXT WEEK - but I am letting you know about it now so you can arrange to talk to someone 60 or older to interview them. You can speak on the phone to someone or in person, a grandparent, a friend at church or a neighbor. There is extra credit if the person is 75 years old or older!
Here is the assignment – Due October 2nd
o Interview one person who is at least 60 years old, and ask the person this question:
Write down the 3 things they tell you. (You may have an adult help you write things down, or you may record or videotape the conversation. No matter which way you record the information you should have some notes on the Interview Form below to bring to class). Also, ask some questions to make sure you understand what they are talking about. Take good notes so that you can share details with the class. Use this form:
