1. In our story, Wonderstruck, Ben, who was already deaf in one ear, answers a land-line telephone during a storm. He is struck by lightning and wakes up to find himself deaf in his only good ear! Write one paragraph about how you would feel and what you would be thinking if this happened to you. Put yourself in Ben's shoes, think about your emotions and your thoughts. You may use brave writing to write your paragraph: do not worry too much about spelling and punctuation, as long as you can read what you have written to us during class.
