There is no class on Friday, March 16th!
Enjoy your Spring Break
This homework is to do on the week AFTER March 16th and is due:
Homework Due March 23rd.
You will be presenting as your GREEK PERSON on March 30th. By March 23rd you should have completed the following:
Blue was due on March 9
Green we did in class
Red due March 23rd
Print the lecture for your Greek Person
For "Growing up in Ancient Greece -Greek Children " print this document.
For "Ancient Greek Women" print this document.
Read through your lecture. After reading, go back and highlight the main points. In these documents, the main points are easy to find since they are in bold. Now see how many main points you have highlighted.
Print this OUTLINE form.
Now decide on 3 main points from the essay, that you highlighted above, that you will include in your presentation.
In class, we wrote your THESIS STATEMENT.
1. Now write your introduction. Use the lecture to find a very interesting fact to launch your presentation.
2. Write your conclusion. Make sure to re-state your thesis and close with your thoughts and observations about the person you are to become.
3. Now you are ready to create notecards for presenting.
You may type these on HALF- sheets of printer paper or write them out on notecards. The idea is to write the entire content of your presentation on a smaller piece of paper so that you can deliver your presentation clearly and easily.
4. Complete your costume and bring pictures of it to class on March 23rd.
And here for hair!
Next Week: You will find a PICTURE OF A PRIMARY SOURCE to print and bring to your presentation. A Primary Source is something that existed in Greek times. So you might find a picture of a Woman or a Child on Greek Pottery or in Greek Art or on Greek Funeral Markers. You will also write a mini-script to allow the class to participate in some part of your presentation. You will write out what your classmate or teacher will say and they will read it as a part of your presentation. You will practice your presentation so you are ready to go on 3-30
