Homework Due March 9th.

1.  Begin Preparing for your Presentation on March 23rd.  (March 16th is Spring Break -there is no homework for Spring Break but the week after Spring Break there is homework - an your presentation is due when you come back!)

2.  Print your lecture:

  1. For "Growing up in Ancient Greece -Greek Children " print this document.
  2. For "Ancient Greek Women" print this document.

  3.  Read through your lecture.  After reading, go back and highlight the main points.  In these documents the main points are easy to find since they are in bold.  Now see how many main points you have highlighted.

4.  Print this OUTLINE form.

  • Now decide on 3 main points from the essay, that you highlighted above, that you will include in your presentation.
    • If your essay had 5 points you will either need to leave 2 out or combine one or more.
    • For example:  In Greek Children you could combine Infancy/Birth & Toys & Games as one Main Point -and then choose facts from from each as your 3 supporting facts.
    • In Greek Women you have 7 main points in your essay.  I would leave out "Un-traditional Woman in Athens" (you can even skip reading this section) and leave out "Relationships between the Sexes" (you can skip reading this as well, if you wish). You might combine Engagement and Marriage & Duties of Married Women. Combine one other or decide to create 4 (FOUR) rather than 3 main points.
  • Go back and fill in the supporting details for each main point on your Outline Form.
  • Bring this OUTLINE to class on FRIDAY
    5.   Begin deciding on the costume you will wear for your presentation on the 23rd. Click here for some costume ideas
