Homework Due April 6th.
1. On April 27th you will bring to class a Habitat Diorama that YOU CONSTRUCT. Every week until then your homework will be a few steps of that diorama.
2. In class, I handed out a packet for Habitat Dioramas. If you need the packet again you can print it here. In class, you chose either your Mammal or Bird/Fish for this habitat diorama project. The animal you chose is written on packet under, My Animal Is___________________.
3. This week use the packet to tell a parent what a habitat includes.
4. Look up some animals that live in a Rainforest habitat and write them on your rainforest page.
5. This week read through all of the requirements on the Create a Habitat Diorama Page. Also, read through the steps under the "My Animal Is" side of the page. Turn to your Habitat Diorama Worksheet and do the following steps:
From the My Animal Is section:
- Look at some Dioramas online and get some ideas about how you want to build your shoebox diorama.
- Get a shoebox
From the Habitat Diorama Worksheet page:
1. Watch and read this Wikihow on how to create a diorama
2. Find a reliable, educational source online to research your animal or get a book from the library.
2a. Shade the map on your Habitat Diorama Worksheet with all of the places in the world that your animal lives
2b. Now, decide which SPECIFIC habitat you will use to study to create your animals Habitat Diorama. Be sure to click on the link on 2b of your worksheet to find the specific habitats. (link here as well).
2c. Circle in red the place on the map that you will choose as our specific location of your animal's habitat. On the worksheet list the habitat of your animal and describe it in detail.
