This week you will learn about the MOON!
Homework Due November 17th.
1. Watch this video about the phases of the moon. If you have a lamp and a small ball try this with your family at home. (you can use any small ball - you don't need the ball on the pencil that she uses! Can you recreate the "New Moon" where the moon is lit but you can not see it because the lamp (sun) is behind it?
2. Print this "Moon Journal". Begin filling in your journal today:
- put today's date below the circle
-shade in the circle to show how the moon looks tonight.
-LOOK TONIGHT! The fullest moon will be Saturday November 4th!

Try and continue your moon Journal for 1 month - from November 4th or 5th until December 5th or 6th. Bring your journal this week, you should have AT LEAST 4 entries. You can take it home and continue your moon journal until December!
3. Find 5 interesting facts about the moon and write them down. Bring your 5 facts to class!
