 Print this Factsheet DUE DATES:

  • SEPT 29 - By this week, please find a book on your planet at the library or from home.  Bring your book to class this week.  If you did not bring your book last week bring it on Oct 6th.

  • October 6th Bring a color picture of your planet to class.  It would help to bring several color pictures.  If you do not have a color printer you may draw your planet and color it in like the picture you view.

  • DUE OCT 13th We had so much fun making our Galaxy Lab Shirts!  Great Job!!  They turned out fabulous! This assignment timeline has changed a bit - because galaxy shirts took longer than expected. RED ITEMS NEW! Please read carefully!  This week your factsheet for your planet is due.    Print this Factsheet.  This is what you will use to collect facts about your planet from your book.  You will use this factsheet and your model to present your planet to the class. In class this week you will create a paper mache planet.  You will bring your paper mache planet HOME TO PAINT and bring it back in time to present on October 20th. You will need poster paints or acrylic paint to complete the assignment for next week!

  • DUE OCT 20thn -  NEW!  1.  Paint your paper mache planet.  Be sure to use the pictures you found to color your planet according to the photographs of the planet in your book and online.  PRACTICE presenting your planet to someone in your family! You will not read your Factsheet to the class but use it as a guide to PRESENT to the class what you have learned about your planet. Bring your painted planet and your factsheet to class.  Be prepared to present about your planet to the class.  If there is not time for everyone to present some may present the week of the 27th.  Looking forward to hearing about everyone's planets!
