Homework Due September 22nd:

1.  Some of you were missing class items.  Please check your supplies and make sure that you have all of the required items:
  • 1.5" to 2” binder with at least:
  • 10-15 section dividers that you can label
  • Ruled notebook paper in the back of your notebook
  • 2 sharpened pencils with good erasers
  • Red Pen
  •  Black Pen
  • Highlighter


2.  Please Label the first few tabs of your binder:
         Tab#1  "Homework" 
         Tab#2  "World Geography" 
         Tab#3 -  Sumer & Mesopotamia
         Tab#4 - Egypt
         Tab#5 - Golden Goblet




3. You should have this book in class no later than September 29th!  We will be reading in class AND at home.  You may read at home on your own or with a parent.  
 Please purchase a copy of the book A copy of the book – Golden Goblet by Eloise Jarvis McGraw  (Available on Amazon for less than $7 new and $2.50 plus shipping used.  When purchasing used books on Amazon I try to stay away from “acceptable” condition books and usually choose Good or Very Good, or Like New). Please get the book as soon as possible, but we will begin reading (a combination of at home and in class reading) in 2 weeks.



4.  THERE WILL BE A QUIZ ON CONTINENTS AND OCEANS ON FRIDAY!

It is important that you have a good grasp of World Geography for this course.  Please click on the links below to practice these 3 geography areas until you feel confident:

Major Countries will be helpful as we go along.  If you do not know countries at all this may be a bit overwhelming so plan to study up and review those over time.
